A small mews house of 1959 was extended into the garage, to double the size of the living room and provide open-plan accommodation to house an eclectic collection of art and furniture. A new entrance porch and picture window were created in oak and access to the flat roof was provided using a steel framework.
The palette of materials consisted of steel and oak, to enhance and complement the character of the original house with hand crafted joinery and hand picked veneer internally.
