A 2-bed Victorian house was transformed into a spacious 3-bed house with light, open-plan flexible spaces. The interventions have almost no impact on the streetscape, whilst the living accommodation has been completely reconfigured. The single storey side extension leads to a generous double-height space at the rear. The gabled form matches the existing house, yet the glazed end wall opens fully to allow the space to flow into the garden via a raised timber deck. This is mirrored by a garden lodge concealed at the bottom of the garden.
