The Etches Collection, Museum of Jurassic Marine Life

The Etches Collection,  in Kimmeridge, Dorset was listed as one of the twelve new museums to visit by Smithsonian.com in 2016.

The museum houses the collection of Steve Etches MBE, who collected and researched over 2000 late Jurassic Kimmeridgian fossils over 30 years.

The Etches Collection aims to bring to life the stories of the creatures that existed in the Kimmeridgian age through the use of traditional displays and projected CGIs.

The museum has a dual use with the education facility doubling as a village hall. Kimmeridge is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the building was designed to complement its setting.
